GUNTOWN – Bonnie Roland Rice, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Graceland Nursing Home in New Albany. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a former employee of Guntown Slacks. She enjoyed sewing, camping and traveling.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn.
Survivors include one daughter, Billie Jean Stewart (Otis) of Tupelo; one son, Larry Rice (Judy) of West Point; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Messner of Tennessee; brother, James Roland (Maureen) of Iuka; grandchildren, Athena Mathis (Jimmy) and Wesley Rice; and great-grandchildren, Travis Mathis and Calvin Mathis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Beatrice Roland; her husband, William "Billy" Rice; and a daughter, Sherrye Rice Moore.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to service time Thursday.
