Douglas MacArthur "Bill" Stubbs, 72 passed away Saturday, August 1, 2014 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro. He was born in Glennville March 27, 1942 to Martin L. and Geneva Wilds Stubbs and lived here all of his life. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran where he was a recipient of Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, reading and bird watching and was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by, Parents, brothers, Martin L. Stubbs, Harry T. Stubbs, Tom L. Stubbs, Sisters, Jettie S. Tootle, Sadie R. Durrence, Inez K. Hughes, Betty D. Stubbs. He is survived by, Chidren, Michelle (Dan) Fargus of Glennville, Julie (Stan) Elrod of Danielsville, GA. Viniece (Steven) Kirkland, Doug Stubbs, Gina (David) Cammack, Donna (Joe) Catanzariti all of Glennville. Sisters, Jean Deal and Nadine (Gene) Anderson of Reidsville Montez Todd of Glennville Brothers, Henry (Pat) Stubbs of Nixa, MO Herman T. Stubbs of Reidsville Grandchildren, Ashley Stubbs, Levi Elrod, Luke Elrod, Stone Kirkland Visitation will began at 6:00 PM, Monday, August 4, 2014 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM, Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Barnard officiating. Burial will be the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors
