The Macon News (Macon, GA) - 3 Nov 1924, Mon
OSCAR A. CLIETT, 80, died at his home at Powersville, Ga., this morning at 7:15 o'clock. Mr. Cliett had been ill three days, paralysis was given as the cause of his death. He was a well known planter of Houston county and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, J. B. Cliett, of Powersville; F. G. Cliett, of Savannah, and H. A. Cliett, of Los Angeles, Cal.; two daughters, Mrs. C. B. Anderson, of Fort Valley, and Mrs. G. W. Wilson, of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, J. H. M. Cliett, of Powersville. Funeral services will be held from the residence at Powersville Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Macon time, Elder Walter Heard officiating. Interment will be in the Cliett burial ground at Powersville.
