Drue Quincy Milner, age 25, of Rochester, Minn., died Jan. 31, 2006, in the Grassy Mountains of Tooele County, Utah, of hypothermia.

He was born Oct. 11, 1980, at St. Francis Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa. Drue moved to Adams, Minn., with his mother, Lorrie, and younger brother, Lance, at the age of four. He resided with them at 205 Fifth Street NW, Adams, until the age of 20 when he moved to Rochester. He attended and graduated from Southland Schools, Adams.

Drue was a hard worker who had learned many "fix it" and practical home care skills from his grandfather, Gerald, and grandmother, Marjie, which he later used in his employment as a teenager and professional career with Econo Cleaning and Rent-Ex in Rochester. His favorite gift cost him nothing, his time and his talents to help a family member. He greatly enjoyed his music, collections, time outdoors, playing video and table games, and time with friends, grandparents and close family members.

He is survived by his mother, Lorrie Meier, of Austin, Minn.; brother, Lance, of Rochester, Minn.; grandparents, Gerald and Marjie Meier, of Adams, Minn.; aunt, Penny Meier, of Plymouth, Minn.; cousins, Paige Meier-Mazal and Nathan Mazal, of Plymouth, Minn.; uncle and aunt, Greg and Rhonda Meier; cousins, Nicole and Alan Luong, of Wiley, Texas; uncle and aunt, Dale and Mary Gosse; cousins, Jeremy and Brittney, of Evansdale, Iowa; uncles and aunts: Jim and Brenda Kellogg, and Mort and Marlene Kellogg, of Taopi, Minn., and their extended families; cousins: Sally, Al and Amy Zdrazil, of St. Paul, Minn.; Al Mortenson, of Louisville, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Peter Meier; and his great-grandparents.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at 3 p.m. at Little Cedar Lutheran Church with The Reverend Shari A. Mason officiating. Friends may greet the family for one hour before the memorial service.

Organist will be Joyce Edland. Soloist will be June Wolf. Honorary bearers will be Steve Arens, Paul Gordon, Steve Medennis, Katie Schneider, Shari Schneider and Jesse Schultz.

The Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Drue Quincy Milner, of Rochester, apparently died of a fall off a 100-foot cliff or hypothermia, Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi said. Milner had been missing since Jan. 31, when he said he was returning home from a trip out West.

Tooele County authorities found Milner during a helicopter search in the remote, mountainous region a few miles from Salt Lake City. Milner was alone and apparently got lost after the car he was driving got stuck.

Amazi said an autopsy was ordered on Milner's body.

Milner attended Southland High School in Adams and his mother lives in Austin.
