Doris Marie McClellan, 89, a resident of Sikeston for most of her life, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014 at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born May 17, 1925 at Grider, Arkansas to the late Arthur Dresden Johnson and Opal Dale (Jones) Johnson Tarbert. She was married to Ralph Edward McClellan Jan. 5, 1942 at Benton and he preceded her in death Jan. 20, 2002. Doris was a long-time member of Shady Acres Church of Christ. She is survived by 4 sons & 2 daughters-in-law, Arthur Edward & Charlotte McClellan of Gallatin, TN., Mark Wayne McClellan of Scott City, James Michael McClellan of Cape Girardeau and John Paul & Diane McClellan of O'Fallon; one daughter Diane Marie Hadley of Sikeston; and by 1 sister, Norma Wolf of Sikeston. Thirteen grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by 1 grandson and 1 sister. Friends may call at Shady Acres Church of Christ Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 10 am until time for services at 12 noon with Pat Hogan and Johnny Hester, the church ministers officiating.
