Deceased Name: Gerald Ray Hartman
Gerald Ray "Jerry" Hartman was born in Holden, La on March 10, 1936 to Vera Todd Hartman. Gerald was raised by his aunt and uncle Inez and Manuel Roppolo as their own son. He attended Baton Rouge High School, taught at the Carpenters Apprentice School and worked for Bolton Company before starting his own stucco business. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ramona "Pee Wee" McCaa Hartman. He is survived by his four children: Pam Adams and husband Randy, Cheryl Hicks and husband Andy, Mark Hartman and Gerri Lynn Hartman Woodward. Six grandchildren: Shauntel Puckett and husband Alan, Brittany Adams, Brooke, Matthew and Blake Hartman, Jordin Woodward and great-grandson Reed Puckett. He was proceeded in death by Mother, Vera Todd Hartman Laiche, Manuel and Inez Roppolo. His mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dr & Mrs. John H. MaCaa Sr. Gerald loved to fish, hunt and cook for all the family. He also looked forward to the annual family beach vacation. A special thanks to Dr. Gerald Barber, Dr. Paul Garrett, Dr. Jason Adams, Dr. Scott Landry, Dr. Ronnie Fields and the wonderful staff of the MICU and SICU of OLOL. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 9:30AM with mass to follow at 11:00AM. Burial will follow the mass at Resthaven Garden of Memory on Jefferson Highway. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Heart Association, The American Lung Association or Children's Hospital of New Orleans.
