Mr. Paul F. Cahill of Lackawaxen, PA a retired fireman of 20 years with the FDNY and 28 year resident of the area, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. He was 79.
He was born December 15, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Paul and the late Margaret Markham Cahill.
He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, the late Gloria Cecere Cahill; she died Sept. 21, 1999.
Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of St. Ann's R.C. Church, Shohola and FDNY Retirement Assoc.
Surviving are:
4 sons: Paul Cahill and his wife Bernadette of Honesdale, PA; Joseph Cahill and his wife Rose of North Babylon, NY; Michael Cahill and his wife Jody of Lackawaxen, PA; John Cahill and his wife Brenda of Greeley, PA. 2 daughters: Christine Obser and her partner William of Milford, PA and Carol Cahill and her partner Brian of Tampa, FL
Brother: Edmund Cahill and his wife Patricia of Oneonta, NY. Sister: Mary Hyer and her husband Charles of Danbury, CT. 13 Grandchidren: Douglas, Regina, Thomas, Joseph, Crystal, Travis, Kelsey, Logan, John, Rebecca, Nichole, Brian and Melissa. 1 Great Grandson: Colin Brian
