Graham Lee Abbott, 77, of Whitesburg died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center.

He was born January 5, 1937, the son of the late George Wilbur and Vada Blanche Wise Abbott.

His travels included: Missions trips to Haiti, Columbia, South America, and Africa. He conducted and/or led 12 trips to the Middle East visiting Egypt, Israel, Jordan and visited Belgium and Italy.

Graham was an avid golfer.

Surviving is a son, Stephen Paul Abbott of Danville; 2 brothers, Leslie Abbott and Benny Abbott both of Louisville.
Graham was preceded in death by a son, Timothy David Abbott; 3 brothers, George Stanley Abbott, Ronnie Eugene Abbott, and W.R. Abbott and a sister, Lois Morgan.

Graham held many Ministerial Positions throughout his life including:

Funeral services were held Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with James Powell, Glenn Courts, and Paul Cropper officiating. A graveside service was held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Ky.
