She was a native of Illinois and had been a resident of San Benito for the past 42 years. She was a member of the First Methodist church and had taught an adult class of the church Sunday school for many years.
Survivors include her husband, A. E. Whitney, San Benito; a son, Dr. R. A. Whitney of Forsythe, Mont.; a daughter, Mrs. B. M. Andreas of Hibbing, Minn.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 5 p. m. in the First Methodist church with the Rev. Leroy Russell officiating. Burial will be in Mont Meta cemetery under the direction of the Kreidler-Ashcraft Funeral home.
Pallbearers have been named as Pete Bassalos, Harry Hinkley, Kenneth Lake, Bill Collins, W. B. Nixon and Frank McCabe.
