MIDVALE--Our beloved husband, father and great-grandfather, Peter Thomas Hoyne, passed away peacefully March 2, 1996, after a short illness.

Born October 9, 1913, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Alex and Stella Hojnacki. He married Mary Lou McDonald at Camp Kearns, Utah, on June 26, 1943.

Pete served in World War II as a medic in Po Valley, Naples, Rime, North Appenines, Normandy, North and South France, Rhineland, Balkens, and was awarded Bronze Stars and Distinguished Unit Citation in the 15th Air Force. He loved to umpire Midvale baseball and thoroughly enjoyed all sporting events.

Pete dedicated his life to his family and retired from Midvale City after 31 years of dedicated service.

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou; sons, Dennis P. (Diane) and Bruce D. (Sherrie); six grandchildren, Tracy (Eloy) Sanchez, Alan (Wendy) Hoyne; Lisa (John) Tilby, Peter (Julie) Hoyne, Doug (Trista) Hoyne, Terri (Jeff) Evans; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Kasper Hojnacki of Whiting, Indiana.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5th, 1996, at 11 a.m. in the Midvale City Cemetery, 450 West 7500 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
