Major League Baseball Player. A pitcher, he played for seven seasons, with the St. Louis Browns from 1923 to 1925, the Cleveland Indians from 1927 to 1929, and briefly the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1931. His best season was in 1928 when as a starting pitcher, be posted a record of 10 wins and 8 losses in 28 games, with 39 strikeouts and an earned run average of 5.04 in in 155 innings. During his career, he achieved a 15-20 win/loss record with 89 strikeouts and an earned run average of 5.65. He died at the age of 83.
