Carla LaVerne White, 55, of Fredericksburg died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital.
A native of Fredericksburg, she was preceded in death by her mother, Clementine E. White, and her father, Robert White. She was a graduate of James Monroe High School and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site), Fredericksburg. Her hobbies were crossword puzzles and calligraphy.
Leaving to cherish her memory are a sister, Cynthia E. White of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Robert E. White of Fredericksburg and Gregory N. White and his wife, Shana, of Spotsylvania County; nieces Angela, Kristen and Shane White; and nephew Gregory N. White II.
A viewing will occur from 2 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 15, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be at noon Monday, March 16, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lawrence A. Davies officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
