She was baptized Jan. 22, 1928 at the Mabel First Lutheran Church in Mabel, Minn., and confirmed on May 23, 1943 at the Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony.
She graduated from the Harmony High School in 1945 and then graduated from medical technology school in Minneapolis. She worked for a short time at the Fergus Falls Hospital and the clinic in Austin, Minn.
April 10, 1949 she married Curtis R. Flak at the Hesper Lutheran Church in Hesper, Iowa. The couple lived and farmed in Hesper Township, Winneshiek County, Iowa and have resided there since.
She was a member of the Hesper Lutheran Church and the WELCA. She enjoyed flowers, cooking, and baking.
Anita Flak was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Keith Olson; and a sister, Shirley Darrington.
