On January 12, 1997, our mother, Ruth Almira Hardman Gadd, left us to join her husband, daughters, grandchildren, sister, and brothers. What a wonderful reunion is taking place! She passed away at Crosslands Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Sandy, Utah.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 8, 1909 to Clarence C. and Ida May Davis Hardman.

On June 26, 1929, she married Melvin R. Gadd in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Mother was a lifelong homemaker and an active member of the LDS Church. She had lived in Midvale some 55 years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; daughters Deloris Goates and Kaye Powell; sister Alene Jackson; brothers Dee and Roy Hardman. Survived by Melvin Lynn and Thelma Gadd, Douglas and Margaret Gadd, Deon and Bob Holmes, Lois and Hal Hendricksen, Don and Kathryn Goates and Bob Powell; also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Lucille Jacobsen and Louise Houpt and brothers J. W. and I. Keith Hardman.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 17, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Midvale Third and Fourth Ward Chapel, 75 Olympus Street, Midvale. The family will greet friends and neighbors on Thursday, January 16, 1997 from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, and at the Ward Building on Friday one hour prior to the services. Interment made at Midvale City Cemetery.
