JACKSONVILLE: A memorial service for Charlotte Ann Walters McDaniel, 76, will be Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church in Anniston with Father Chris Hartley officiating. Burial will be in at St. Michael's and All Angels Memory Garden following the service. The family will receive friends at the church in LaGarde Hall from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday. Mrs. McDaniel died Monday, July 28, 2014 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, James D. McDaniel of Jacksonville; her son, Richard "Rick" E. McDaniel of Hampton, VA; one brother, Donald L. (Barbara) Walters of Anniston; a nephew, Dwight (Diane) Farraget of Sevierville, TN; and a sister-in-law, Joyce (Oscar) Farraget of Sevierville, TN.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Daughters of the King of St. Michael's and All Angels and the Altar Guild.

Mrs. McDaniel was a member of St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church in Anniston, as well as Daughters of the King, the Altar Guild and E.C.W. In her spare time she participated in the Red Hat Society and The Book Club. Raised in Mississippi, she graduated from Laurel High School and attended nursing school at Southern Mississippi Charity Hospital in Hattiesfield where she received her RN degree. Mrs. McDaniel also received her BS degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, her first Masters Degree in Nursing from Troy State and then finally her second Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Illinois. She retired from Jacksonville State University.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Christine and Lavelle Walters.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Spremulli, Dr. Ferguson and their staffs as well as New Beacon Hospice for their loving kindess and care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 1000 W 18th Street, Anniston, AL 36201.
