Becky was a recipient of a donor kidney in 2008, and has generously paid it forward by cornea donation so that two children received the gift of sight. Becky had a heart of gold, especially for children. The joy of her life was her grandson, Kason Ray (who called her Grammy); and her nephews and niece, Mo, Bo, Maelynn and Raymond.
Becky was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jack Corley; and her paternal grandparents, Edna and Jake Morrow. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Cochran; son Cory Cochran; son Tanner Cochran and wife Kaitlin; grandson Kason Ray Cochran; parents Jim and Mary Morrow; maternal grandmother Christine Corley (lovingly called Big Mama); brother John Morrow; sister Jami Williams; best friend Carol; beloved dog Oliver; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.
The family will greet friends and family from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at Shaffer Funeral Home in Bronte, Texas. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, in Fort Chadbourne Cemetery with the Rev. John Driggers officiating. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Ty Hughston, Bronte EMS, the ER staff at Shannon Medical Center and Dr. Mohanram Narayanan at Scott and White in Temple, Texas. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at First National Bank of Sterling City in Bronte to assist with funeral expenses.
