MMrs. Dorothy Schuler Devitt, 89, of Mooresville, North Carolina, died peacefully on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at her home in the Villages at Oak Tree, Mooresville, North Carolina. She was born on March 25, 1921 in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of Marie and George Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and a daughter, Judy. Dorothy lived much of her life in Mansfield, moving to Key Colony Beach, Florida, where she lived for more than 30 years. She loved Key Colony Beach and the many friends she made while living there, but moved to Mooresville in 2001 to be close to family.
She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a wonderful friend to many. She will be greatly missed for her loving kindness, her loyalty, and her quick wit.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Schuler Needham and husband, Curtis Needham, of Cornelius, NC; one son, Thomas Edward Schuler and wife, Roberta Schuler, of Columbus, Ohio; granddaughter, Julie Hensley and husband, Winston Hensley, of Stallings, NC; grandsons, Mike Gardner of Morehead City, NC, Steve Gardner of Durham, NC, Matthew Schuler and wife, Jill Schuler, of Columbus, Ohio, Mark Schuler and wife, Paula Schuler, of Columbus, Ohio; and 10 great-grandchildren.
