CUMBERLAND-Vicki S. McDowell, 68, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday August 1, 2014 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 19, 1945 in Cumberland she was the daughter of the late Elmer C. and Bessie (Hart) Lease. She was also preceded in death by Elmer Charles "Jake" Lease, Carl Francis "Pete" Lease, Johnny J Lease, Aletha Caroline "Sis" Dickens and Cecelia Ann "Sue" Hanlin.
Vicki was a mother and a homemaker. She was a 1964 graduate of Allegany High School. She loved watching football especially the Colts. She also loved baseball and the Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves Chipper Jones. Vicki also liked NASCAR and driver Jeff Gordon.
Above all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband Richard E. McDowell of Cumberland; her children Richard E. "Mick" McDowell of Burleson TX, Ryan and Kim McDowell of Moatsville WV, James and Carolyn Pennell of Pittsburgh Pa., Mike and Sharon Mitchell of Philippi WV; grandchildren Joshua McDowell, Slade McDowell, Cody McDowell, Dakota McDowell, Suzanna Smith, Derek McDowell, Dannielle McDowell, Liza Pennell, James Pennell, Megan Pennell, Nathaniel "Bugs" Pennell, Sarah Owens, Michael "Mikey" Mitchell, Ashley Ramsey; fifteen great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters James F. Lease, Alice Faye Vandine, and William H.R. Lease. As per Vicki's request, she will be cremated.
