Samuel G. Lovat, 80, died October 15, 1996 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Born December 8, 1915 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Thomas and Dominica Lovat. Married Anna Mae Golesh in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 28, 1937. She preceded him in death on August 27, 1992.

He was a machinist, retired from Kennecott Copper Corp. with 44 years of service. Member of Bingham Volunteer Fire Dept. and Utah Firemen's Assoc. Longtime member of the I.A.M. & A.W. Union. He was an avid sports fan. He and Anna Mae were longtime residents of Bingham Canyon, Utah.

Survived by son, Tom Lovat, Green Bay, Wisc.; daughter, Marie Lucero, Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, James Lovat, Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Vince Miola, Copperton; sister, Angie Padjen, Midvale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Namaste Foundation, 2 Penrose Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO. 80906.

Funeral Mass Saturday, Oct. 19, 1996, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 South 1700 West. Friends may call Friday 6-7 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, with Rosary at 7 p.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
