PHILIP M. DIELMANN
----
The last sad rites were performed yesterday over the body of the late Philip M. Dielmann. The funeral took place from the residence of his parents, 447 Jackson avenue, and the interment was in Lafayette cemetery No. 1

Philip M. Dielmann was born in this city Nov. 9, 1871. He was educated at the German Elementary Institute, and on becoming of age secured employment under his father, Philip W. Dielmann, of hte firm of P. W. Dielmann & Co. The young man had been ailing for two years or more, and this summer grew worse. His friends, thinking a change of climate would do him good, advised him to go away for a season. Last April he went to the summer home of the Dielmanns at Bay St. Louis, where he remained till a week ago. He returned much recuperated in health and his complete recovery was considered simply a matter of days. Shortly after his arrival here, he was again taken sick, and Dr. Stumpf was summoned. His illness, however, was not considered serious, and his death on Saturday last came as a shock to his many friends. When he grew worse his family was telegraphed for and returned from Bay St. Louis in time to take part in the funeral, which took place yesterday. Rev. L. p. Heintz, of the German Protestant church, officiated.

Mr. Dielmann, though only 28 years old, was one of the most popular young men in the business community. He was greatly admired and beloved for his many sterling qualities, and his untimely end comes as a shock to his many friends here and elsewhere."
