Edna Jean Beechinor passed away peacefully on July 28, 2014 at age 87 in Richland, WA surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Colville, WA on June 11, 1927. While she was still a baby, her family moved to Milwaukie, WI, where she lived through her high school years until her family moved back to Walla Walla, WA, so that her father could take a position with the Veterans Hospital after the outbreak of WWII.
Upon arriving in Walla Walla she began working as a medical aid at a hospital run by the Civil Defense Administration at the Walla Walla airport. She spent the rest of her working life in the medical and dental fields ending her career after several years of service as a medical assistant to Dr. Roger Hevel in Waitsburg.
She married Everett Beechinor, who adopted her two children from a previous marriage, and the combined family moved to Waitsburg in 1965 where she later retired. She loved cooking, sewing, gardening, her many grandchildren, and animals like the beloved Axelrod. After retirement she enjoyed many years of participation with Everett in the Walla Walla Antique Car Club, and especially caring for a little neighbor girl for several years.
