Mr. Young was a member of the Masonic Lodge #327 & Pipefitters Union #211. He served in the United States Army. He was an avid horseman and rancher. Mr. Young was a member of the Brazoria County Trail Riders Association. An avid outdoorsmen he loved to hunt and fish. Junior loved the outdoors more than anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, double first cousins; Wanda Lee Pursley & Janie Milner, his aunt Lillie Pursley, nephew; Joey Mitchell, his father and mother-in-law, George R. Gatlin & Bobbie Reagan.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife Linda Young, his daughter Kelly Cothren (Christopher Brandt); sisters Annie J. White (Jerry) and Betty R. Breazeale. Special sister-in-law Vivian "Missie" Ruffu Herbst (Christopher). Grandchildren Ashlee Ferguson (Wayne), Brianna, Whitney, and Bransen Cothren; Great grandchildren Ady & Grayson Ferguson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
