Charles D. Ames Dies In Stockton
Funeral services will be conducted here Friday for Charles D. Ames, Stockton, who died Tuesday evening in a Stockton hospital after a long illness. He was 80, having been born Oct. 20, 1877 in Wisconsin.
Mr. Ames was known by many Lidians and leaves many friends in this community. He resided in Wisconsin for most of his life, but had moved to Modesto in 1935. He had made his home in Stockton for the past six years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ada May Ames, Stockton, and a sister, Mrs. M. M. Short of Pomona.
