Mr. Haynie had lived in Memphis for 50 years. He was born in Covington. Mr. Haynie retired from Woods Lumber Company Inc. after 25 years.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Haynie of 1367 North Parkway; four daughters, Mrs. R.H. Paine of 1162 North Parkway, Mrs. William Duecker of 695 University, Mrs. Margie Fletcher of 1007 Sheridan, and Mrs. Kathryn Smith of 431 South Holmes; a sister, Minnie Shoaf of 1052 New York; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
