BANHAM, JR., HERBERT GEORGE, 75 Dunnellon - Captain Herbert G. Banham died on Friday, March 9, 2007 at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Cambridge, Massachusetts, born on February 6, 1932. His parents were Herbert George Sr. and Charlotte "Lottie" (Bishop) Banham. He attended and graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA. He was a retired Captain in the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. After his retirement, he took a second career as a Real Estate Appraiser. He lived in Reston, VA for approximately 20 years, then moved to Dunnellon eight years ago. He was a member of the Citrus Genealogical Society and he was an avid fan of the Boston/Atlanta Braves. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Banham of Dunnellon; son, Herbert George Branham III and wife, Debra of Hampstead, MD; daughter, Cynthia Fitzgerald and husband, Larry of Hernando Bch, FL; son, Michael Banham and wife, Carmen of Suwannee, GA; Matthew Branham of Jackson, NH; Laura Wilton of Sterling, VA; 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
