Mr. Fann was born January 7, 1936 to the late Ross D. and Marie H. Fann, Sr. He was a graduate of Springfield High School in 1954, attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He graduated the University of Tennessee at Memphis College of Pharmacy in 1958, was a member of Kappa Psi Pharmacy Fraternity and was the Senior Class Vice President that year. Mr. Fann was a veteran of the US Army and life-long member of the Springfield Baptist Church. He worked as a Sales Representative for Eli Lilly & Company in Chattanooga, was the Owner/Operator of Fann's Shannon Drug Company and Fann's Medicine Center, both in Springfield, was the Pharmacy Director for Davidson County Metro Health Department until retiring in 2001. Mr. Fann was a past President of the Springfield Optimist Club and of the Robertson County University of Tennessee Alumni Association. He was also a past member of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was a registered Pharmacist for over 50 years.
In addition to his parents Mr. Fann is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Elder Fann.
