Freda Fern DeWitt, 77 of Ringold, OK went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2014. Freda was born on January 15, 1937 in Fletcher, OK the daughter of Fred and Millie Hill Williamson.
She married Joe DeWitt on January 26, 1957 at Wright City, OK. She and Joe enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and spending time on Glover River. Freda's greatest joy was her children and grandchildren, who she loved to cook Sunday dinner for. She was a devoted daughter, loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her door was always open to the many kids who were raised in the hill north of Wright City. Freda was preceded in death by parents and her husband.
Freda leaves to cherish her memory her brother Bud Williamson & wife Jimmie of Wright City, OK; one sister-in-law, Helen Veteto of Mobile, AL; three daughters: Carolyn Powers & husband Dewey of Valliant, OK, Doris Snow & husband Wade of Farris, OK and Janie Morris & husband Casey of Wright City, OK; five sons: Larry DeWitt & wife Terry of Wright City, OK, David DeWitt & wife Janell of Valliant, OK, James Dale DeWitt & wife Wendy of Atoka, OK, Jerry DeWitt & wife Michelle of Wright City, OK and John DeWitt of Kansas City, MO; Seventten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
