A private memorial service was held May 22, 2014 for Allen Hulsey at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, including full Air Force Honor Guard, 21 Gun Salute, Flag Folding and Taps.
The native of a smalltown in West Georgia, Allen was a 1974 graduate of Villa Rica High School. He was a retired Staff Sargeant with the US Air Force and fought in the Grenada Conflict under Captain Oliver North. Most recently, he worked at Auto Zone. In his spare time, he loved riding
his motorcycle.
He is survived by two children, a son Aric and Crystal Hulsey and a daughter Sarah, two grandchildren, the mother of his children who helped care for him during his final days, and his lifelong friend, Mike Lanier. Mike wrote his epitaph, "A True Patriot".
He was predeceased by his birth parents John and Emma O Daniel Hulsey (#125995766 Hillcrest/Villa Rica) and a special aunt and uncle that raised him, O.W. (Ollie) and Opal Daniel Tapley.
Allen will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
