Ernest Boney Brewer, 75, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at his residence under the care of Regency Hospice and his loving family.

He was born in Wayne County, worked as a farmer and was a member of Buck Creek United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Vietnam era and was also a member of the Ag South F.S.A.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Sue Boney Brewer. Survivors are his wife, Linda Kile Brewer of Sylvania; brother and sister-in-law, Paschal and Judy Brewer of Midway; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home in Sylvania.

His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with the Rev. Finley Limehouse officiating. Burial will follow at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
