Timothy David Lucas was born on February 2, 1957 in Lovilia, Iowa the son of David and Bernadine(Aversing)Lucas.
He was a 1975 graduate of Albia High School. Tim was united in marriage to Teresa Winters and to this union three children were born: Adam, Jeff and Kurt. Most of his adult life, Tim worked for Pella Corporation in Logistics. He truly enjoyed his job and the people he worked with. Tim had a great sense of humor and loved to make his co-workers laugh. In his younger years, Tim enjoyed golfing and most recently he liked to walk or bicycle around Knoxville. He was also a lifelong Hawkeye fan. Tim's greatest joy was his spending time with his family, especially his boys-whether they were at an event together or just sitting around a fire and talking.
Tim passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Comfort House in Pella at the age of 57 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Vickie Bingaman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three sons, Adam Lucas of Knoxville, Jeff Lucas of West Des Moines, and Kurt Lucas of Knoxville; his father David Lucas of Knoxville; one brother Greg(Luann)Lucas of Newtown; and one sister Lynne(Jodi)Kasal of Elberon, Iowa. Visitation will begin after 11 am Sunday at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2-4 pm. Funeral service will be held at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home on Monday August 4, 2014 at 11 am with Elder Bill McDonald Officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Comfort House of Pella.
