Mrs. Anna Berthold, 87 years of age, died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Henry Bechtoldt, 408 Park avenue, 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
The deceased was born in Germany, February 21, 1840 and emigrated to this country at the age of fifteen. She was married to George Berthold, who died several years ago.
She is survived by three children:
[Louise] Mrs. Henry Bechtoldt, Blleville
Mrs. Herman Dettner, Blleville
Benjamin Berthold, Blleville
Five step-daughters:
Mrs. Martha Dustin, Girard, Kan.
Mrs. Mary Stoehr, Belleville
Mrs. Anna Weidemann, Belleville
Mrs. Lizzie Reinheimer, Belleville
Mrs. Katie Hines, St. Louis
... 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive.
The remains will lie at the Gaerdner mortuary until tomorrow morning when they will be taken to the Bechtoldt residence from where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment will take place at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Rev. Theodore Stiegemeyer will officiate.
