Lee Roy Hampton, 78, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, January. 13, 2009, at his residence.
He was retired from Mueller Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mattie Hampton Sr.; wife, Siggie Hampton; grandson, Anthony Hampton Jr.; brothers, Emmitt and Richard; sister, Amy.
Survivors are her sons, Anthony (Nedra) Hampton Sr., Roy L. Hampton and Ezra Hampton, all of Chattanooga; daughter, Bernadine (Thomas) Jones, of Muscle Shoals, Al.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry (Katie) Hampton, of Chattanooga and Robert (Margie) Hampton, of Athens, Al.; sisters, Helen Williams, Ethellynn Carter, both of Chattanooga, Lena Horne, of Louisville, Ky., Christine (Elvin) Webb, of Dallas, Texas and Delores (John) McDonald, of Leighton, Al.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at noon in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The body will lie in state on Friday after noon at the funeral home.
