Edward F. Walter, 98 of Aurora, Illinois, passed away at Hillside Care Center in Yorkville, Illinois.
Edward was born in Constance, Nebraska on December 29, 1907. He was united in marriage to Kathryn Bruns in 1929, they moved from Nebraska to Aurora, Illinois in 1956. Edward served in the U.S. Navy as a Carpenter's Mate from 1943 to 1945. He worked in construction work until he retired at 65.
Edward is survived by his three sons, Edward of St. Louis, MO, Francis (Lavonna) of Aurora and Robert (Sandy) of Montgomery, IL; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Kathryn Walter; his parents, Clement and Catherine (Hynes) Walter; two sisters; and four brothers; and two daughter-in-laws.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2006 at 11:30 am at the Daleiden Mortuary with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006 from 4 to 8 pm at The Daleiden Mortuary, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, 630-631-5500, www.daleidenmortuary.com.
