The death occurred yesterday at
his home in Albert road, Beechworth,
of Mr. Thomas James Lefoe, aged 71
Mr. Lefoe was born at Barnawartha,
and was very well-known in the
Chiltern district as a farmer and
pastoralist. He was a prominent mem-
ber of the Welcome Home Committee,
and interested himself in the
public affairs of the district. He
survived by his willow and children:
Claude (South Wangaratta, Reginald
(Barnawartha), Lilian (Beechworth),
Alan (deceased), and Elma
(Mr. R. Harris, of Beechworth). At
(he time of his death. Mr. Lefoe had
lived in Beechworth for three months.
