Betty formerly worked at Town Financial in Hartford City, Amolite in Montpelier and Bluffton, and retired from Sheller Globe in Montpelier. She loved music, especially playing her Hawaiian guitar. Her and her sister were so talented at playing together they even played on the local radio station. Betty enjoyed quilting, spending time with her family, church family and most of all her grandkids. She was a longtime member of the Pleasantdale United Methodist Church, where she taught Bible School and held several positions throughout her years of being a faithful member.

Shores, Hampton, VA, daughters, Lila (John) Gardner, Bluffton, IN, Kathy (Phil) Hardesty, Portland, IN, grandchildren, Corey (Amy) Hardesty, Albany, IN, Christopher (Anne) Hardesty, Portland, IN, Kevin (Betsy) Hardesty, Butlerville, IN, Justin Gardner, New York, NY, Lyndsay (Mark) Petrich, Rochester, MN, 15 great grandchildren, sister, Jeannette (Junior) Needler, Montpelier, IN and brother, Don (Marilyn) Williams, Byron Center, MI.
Betty was predeceased in death by her parents, Richard "Dick" & Marguerite (Rennaker) Williams and husband, Bud J. Shores.

A service to celebrate Betty's life will be at Pleasantdale United Methodist Church, 6007 E. 300 N. Montpelier, on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11AM with Pastor Keith Williams officiating; Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow next to her husband in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
