Mr. Brian Lynn Ragsdale, 40, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at his home. Mr. Ragsdale was born November 19, 1973 in Yadkin County to Gary Lynn Ragsdale and Patsy Lane Widener. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Brian loved to fish and hunt.
Mr. Ragsdale was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Vernie Mae Lane and Paul Ragsdale. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, Shalynn McKinney and Zachary Brian Ragsdale; a grandson, Carter Russell McKinney; a sister, Toni Martin-Poore (Michael); a grandmother, Edna Ragsdale;stepmother, Robin Ragsdale; two uncles, Archie (Judy) Lane and Paul Ragsdale; two nephews, Dustin (Jessica) Dudley and Nathaniel Poore; a great niece and nephew, Charlotte and Bryson Dudley; and several cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 3:00PM at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
