Memorial Services for Ronnie Kenneth Gilmore, of Annada, Mo. will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, Mo. Rev. Tom Schofield, pastor of Elsberry First Christian Church will officiate with inurnment in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry.

Mr. Gilmore, 71, passed away early Friday morning, July 25, 2014 at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Mo. Born December 27, 1942 in St. Louis County, Mo., he was the son of Frank and Florence Roark Gilmore. Ronnie was a 1960 graduate of Pattonville High School. He was united in marriage on April 14, 1984 in St. Charles, Mo. to Wanda Jean Schmidt. He worked as an assembler and insurance representative for General Motors in Wentzville, Mo., retiring in 1991 after 30 years. He was a member of the Elsberry First Christian Church. Ronnie was also a member and a Past Master of New Hope Masonic Lodge #199, the United Auto Workers and the Wheelers – Dealers Square Dance Club of St. Charles. He was an Explorer Troop Leader for the Boy Scouts and enjoyed collecting knives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Florence Gilmore; one brother, Monroe Gilmore; and two half sisters.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 30 years, Wanda Gilmore, of Annada; one daughter, Darla Teply and her husband, Richard, of Winder, GA; and two granddaughters: Destiny and Danielle, of Winder. He also leaves one brother, Wilbert Gilmore and his wife, Joann, of St. Charles; four sisters: Shelby Morgan, of St. Claire, Mo., Shirley Tuepker, of St. Claire, Sharon Stapleton and her husband, Mike, of Fairborn, OH and Kay Hardman and her husband, Carl, of St. Charles; one sister-in-law, Eva Mae Gilmore, of Overland, Mo.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to P.A.L.S. – Troy or the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, Mo. 63343.
