She was born Monday, June 22, 1914 in Zanesville the daughter of Frank Fowler and Della (Harris) Fowler.
Ms. Morgan retired from Zanesville Day Nursery following over 34 year of service where she greatly enjoyed the children in her care. She was very faithful and active member of Church of God & Saints of Christ Church. Georgia was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother.
Georgia is survived by: one son: Ruebin Morgan of Zanesville; two sisters: Mary Price and Icyle Brent both of Zanesville; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one special daughter-in-law: Linda Morgan of Zanesville.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by three sons: Gary E. Morgan, Sr., George Morgan and David Morgan; one daughter: Wanda L. Morgan; two sisters: Margaret Morgan and Ruth Norris; five brothers: Elza, Paul, Issac, Howard, and Namen Fowler; one grandson: Joseph Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon. Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon Friday, August 1, 2014 at Church of God & Saints of Christ, 516 Cliffwood Avenue, Zanesville with Elder Mark D. Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701 in Georgia's memory.
