According to Terry Landreneau,
September 1998, whose mother was a Miller, the following:
_______________________________________________________
Jean Miller, who married his 2nd wife Marie Magdeleine Boutin, died in Vermilion Parish [in the part that later split off and became Cameron parish] some time before 1850, since his wife is shown as the widow Marie Bouteint in 1850 census of Vermilion Parish. Also when the property in Vermilion parish was sold, the bill of sale was passed in Ville Platte in 1853 or 1854 and it was recorded in Opelousas, and shows that he died in Vermilion Parish. His wife is buried in Cow Island Circle Cemetery, with several of the children, and there is an unmarked grave next to hers, and I believe that it is Jean Miller's grave, however have not yet been able to prove it. Both Lake Charles and Abbeville records for that period were destroyed in fires, so actual date of death is uncertain.

While Jean is sometimes referred to as "Jean Baptiste", there is no support for Jean Baptiste, the son of Jacob and the wife of M Magdelaine Boutin. There is documentary evidence, i.e. baptism certificate and legal documents, that state he is Jean Miller.
