Fern Mae Wretberg Abbott, 79, passed away January 27, 1996 in Salt Lake City.
Born May 13, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah to David Wretberg and Ada Vincent Wretberg. Married Kenneth N. Abbott, June 1, 1938. Marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in August of 1977.
Fern enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fern and Ken enjoyed many memories vacationing, especially their home away from home at Bear Lake.
Survived by: children, Darrell Kenneth Abbott and wife, Kathleen Tanner Abbott of Woods Cross; their children, Janice Gadd (Duane), Nancy Ellison (Rob), and James D. Abbott; great-grandchildren, Amy Gadd and Tanner Ellison, Blaine L. Abbott of Salt Lake; Karen Abbott Hamblin and husband, Kerry Hamblin of Bountiful; their children, Corey, Ryan and Nicole, sister, Vera Price of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by two sisters, Myrle Southam and Louise Hepworth Brown.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 30, 1996, 12:00 Noon, at the Riverside 1st Ward, 1100 West 500 North, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and Tuesday at the ward one hour prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
