Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Van Sickle was born in Arlington, S.D., and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Grandview Park Baptist Church and the American Legion, Altoona Post.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite; two daughters, Donice Carignlino and Kathy Chandler, both of Des Moines; five sons, Don, Denny, Tom, Mike, all of Des Moines, and Randy of Woodward; his mother, Mrs. Anna Van Sickle of Des Moines; a brother, Melvin of Des Moines; a sister, Selma Snow of Des Moines, and 12 grandchildren.
