Katherine Lorraine Grimes, of Patapsco, entered into Heavenly rest February 13 in Taneytown.
She was the daughter of the late Marshall E. Knight and Lydia Thompson Knight.
Mrs. Grimes was a 1961 graduate of Westminster High School and received her Beautician License from the State of Maryland and worked in beauty shops in Westminster, MD. She also worked for many years at Country Liquors, Action Quality Printing, and Hampstead Crown Station. She was a member of Patapsco United Methodist Church. She dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards.
She was the wife of Roland E. (Junior) Grimes, her husband of 44 years, and also surviving, in addition to him, are daughter Katherine Gratz of Westminster, MD; son Dean E. Grimes of Taneytown; daughter, Dawn Grimes of Abbottstown; grandchildren, Lindsay Grimes of Lancaster, Allbrie Grimes of OR, Kaitlynn Grimes of Gettysburg, Tabetha Gratz of Westminster, MD, and Crystal Grimes and Travis Grimes of Abbottstown; sister and brother-in-law, Lydia and Bob Korman of Reisterstown, MD; sister, Violet Knight of Upperco, MD; half-sister, Tammey Knight of Hampstead, MD; and also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.
She was preceded in death by brother, Marshall F. (Pudgy) Knight.
