Jack Frost Gilbert, age 70, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at his home in St. George, Utah on July 28, 2014 due to complications from a stroke.

Jack (Frosty) was truly a man without guile. He was unfailingly kind in every situation and touched many lives, and was content to be in the background as he didn't especially enjoy the spotlight. He appreciated everything anyone did for him, and was constantly serving others in quiet unassuming ways. He was a gentle person who always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his lips, a beautiful heart and was non-judgmental of others. He had an amazing capacity to love, and was loved by many in return. He loved his family and will be sorely missed by them.

He was born in Murray, Utah to John A. and Geneva Frost Gilbert December 26, 1943. The family was living in Tooele at that time but they soon relocated to Roosevelt, Utah where Frosty spent the first years of his life. He attended elementary school in Roosevelt, Myton, and Duchesne. He graduated from Duchesne High School in 1961. He served a mission for the LDS Church in Scotland, then attended BYU where he met and married Linda Mae Brunner May 25, 1967, Salt Lake Temple. Five children were born to this union.

He was a graduate of LDS Business School where he received his degree in computer programming and was offered a job at Computer Typesetting Company in Glendale, California where they moved and lived for several years. They decided to move back home to Roosevelt, Utah where he was employed by McNeil Duncan Accounting. His next employment position was at the Ute Indian Tribe in Ft. Duchesne, Utah where he worked as a computer programmer for several years and was respected and treated fairly by the Ute Indian Tribe Business Committee. In March of 1980 he was named "Employee of the Month" there.

Frost has always been active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many positions; everything from executive secretary to scout Cub Master. He had a strong testimony of the gospel, loved attending the temple and valued his membership in the Church.
On November 15, 1991 he married Sally Ann Nebeker in the Salt Lake Temple and inherited nine more children.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sally Ann, and children: Darren, Provo; Paul (Nicole) American Fork; Adam (Karen) Lehi; Michael (Jennifer) Spanish Fork; Jenny Rebecca (Rory) Carlisle, Lehi.
Stepchildren: Laurel (Christopher) Jeppson; Aaron (Christie)Hall; David (Wendy) Hall; Bryan (Mel) Hall; Natalie (Nate) Greenwood; Heidi (Blain) Wilkey; Provo, Dianna (Gerrad) Evans; Spencer Hall; Jonathan Hall.
