Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Noah Niedererr of Hastings; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Regina Colgan of McSherrystown; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Nancy Niedererr of Gettysburg, paternal great-grandmother, Gertrude Niedererr of Hanover; and step-grandparents, Gilbert and Mary Bowling of Hanover.
