Mrs. Richardson was born and educated in East Dennis, where she was a lifelong resident.
She graduated from Yarmouth High School in 1933 and Framingham State Teachers College in 1937. She worked for Hallett Funeral Home from 1959 to the early 1970s.
She loved sports, knitting and quilting. She was a lifelong member of the Evangelical Free Church in East Dennis and a member of both the East Dennis Ladies Aid Society and the Business & Professional Women's Organization.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Ann of Mashpee; a son, Benjamin L. of South Dennis; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial in Quivet Cemetery, East Dennis.
