Robert was born November 21, 1953 in Cleveland, son of Merritt II and Norma (Lichty) Kenyon.
Robert attended Western Reserve High School, before going to work at the General Motors Plant in Lordstown, where he was employed as a custodian for 30 years before retiring in 2009. He loved woodworking and listening to music especially Blues. He enjoyed computers and his weekly card game with his friends.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan (Murphy); two daughters, Amy Kenyon (Finace' Thomas Hood) of Cleveland, Jenifer (Greg) Jones of Fountain Inn, SC; two grandchildren, Zach and Katie Jones as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and longtime family friend Sean Bye.
He was preceded in death by two sons, James A. and Robert T. Kenyon, Jr., his parents and one brother, Merritt "Beefy" Kenyon III.
Interment will be at the Crown Hill Burial Park.
