Darrell E. Frazier, 90, passed away at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Indianola on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. He was born February 22, 1924 in Soldier, Iowa to James and Mary (Mercer) Frazier.

He served honorably in the United States Navy. Darrell was a bus driver for the Des Moines Public School System for many years. He was very proud of making sure that the students arrived safely to school every day.

Darrell is survived by his wife Doris; children, Eddie (Tracy) Frazier, Darvie (Lee Ann) Frazier, Janet Chandler (Brad Nall) and Gene Frazier; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Darlene Foster & Evelyn and a brother, Darvis Frazier.He was preceded in death by his parents; 10 siblings, James, Dow, Loydie, Donald, Hazel, Helen, Dean, Darrell, Daniel, Iola and Melford; and one great-granddaughter, Haileigh.

The family will greet friends on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 beginning at 12 noon, with the funeral service at 1 PM at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Darrell will be laid to rest with military honors at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter at 2 PM.
