Funeral for CW4 (Retired) Louis Powell, 80, Lawton will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Powell died Wednesday in Lawton. Burial with full military honors will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

He was born November 2, 1933 in Burke County, North Carolina to Avery and Addie (Rector) Powell. He married DeLouris "Dee" Johnson on December 24, 1955 in Lawton. She died September 6, 2007. After twenty-three years of military service he continued his education at Cameron University where he graduated with honors with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He enjoyed traveling and being with his family.

Survivors include two daughters and their spouses, Vickie and Gary Rogers, Central High, Oklahoma and Sharon and David Perrigo, Conway, Arkansas, nine grandchildren and their spouses, Courtney and Jim Shepard, Chad and Jennifer Rogers, Sara Hammond, Laurie Perrigo, Jason and Meghan Perrigo, Tyler and Anna Perrigo, Riley Perrigo, Brick Perrigo and Mason Perrigo, eight great grandchildren, Gracie Michelle Harris, Jett Rogers, Tripp Rogers, McKain Hammond, McKayla Hammond, Clair Perrigo, Jackson Perrigo and Tristian Perrigo and a brother, Clyde Powell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers, Bud, Doone and Richard Powell and four sisters, Paris Cooper, Marie Christmas, Louise Fowler and Clara Mae Powell.
