He worked as a master bricklayer and stone setter for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Erwin; son, Timothy Allyn Erwin; and two stepdaughters, Diana (Rob) Goldberg and Norma Edmund; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
His only sister, Hope Kinnamon, also preceded him in death
He served in the Army during the end of the Korean War, stateside in Arizona.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
He was a mason.
Plans are pending for a remembrance at American Legion, Blue Grass. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, with military honors.
