Valerie Jo Hall, 67, of Shirley and formerly of Carthage passed away July 25, 2014 at Hancock Regional hospital following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born April 29, 1947 in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Betty Ann (Behrman) Claunch.

She was a member of Knightstown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #152. Valerie was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by two sons, Randy (wife Aundrea) Dailey of New Castle and David (wife Veronica) Dailey of Shirley; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, James Wayne Dailey.

Services are 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
